Applying For Your Visa

You could click HERE or read following explanation to understand the process.

Step 1: Find Out What Visa You Need, Make an Online Application and Book Your Appointment

  • Before you create a TLScontact account you should visit the UK government Visas and Immigration website GOV.UK to find out what type of Visa you will need and to begin the application process.
  • From the UK government Visas and Immigration GOV.UK website you can pay your application fee and book an appointment at one of our visa application centres.
  • Some centres require a fee to use them. You will be able to pay this fee on the UK Visas and Immigration website when completing your application – please bring a copy of the receipt with you to your interview.
  • After completing and paying for your application on the UK Visas and Immigration website, you will receive a unique GWF Number – please make note of this as you will need it when registering to the TLScontact website.
  • After selecting an appointment time you will receive an email confirming the date and time of your appointment, the location of the Visa Application Centre and the documents you should bring when visiting the Application Centre.
  • You will be able to check your appointment details whenever you log on to the UK Visas and Immigrations website.

Reminder: For more information on how to contact GOV.UK directly, click here.

Step 2: Register Your Details on this Website

  • Once you have booked your appointment, please register your details on this website. Registering reduces delays while attending your appointment, and allows you to track your application.
  • Once you have registered on this site, TLScontact can contact you if we need more information about your application.

Step 3: Purchase Optional Added Value Services

  • Registration on this website will allow you to choose and pay for a range of added value services that are provided at this visa location. Check the Added Value Services page on this site for more information.
    Important note: you need to print and show the receipt(s) of payment of Added Value Services which you purchased when submitting your visa application file at the visa centre.

    At the Visa Application Center, every visa applicant MUST show the printed receipt(s) of payment of Added Value Services purchased on http://uk.tlscontact.com.

  • You will also be able to pay for your appointment if you are required to pay to use the visa centre that you have chosen.
  • These services are optional. They are not necessary for you to complete your application and do not influence the outcome.

Step 4: Prepare Your Documents For Your Appointment

If you are applying in Nigeria for a settlement visa, please see the guidance on providing supporting documentation here.

To avoid any delay to your application, please ensure that you come with the below documents:

• Printed copy of your appointment confirmation;
• Printed receipt(s) of payment of Added Value Services (if applicable);
• Original valid passport (or Travel document) and residence permit (if applicable);
• Supporting documents that you wish to submit, with copies of all originals. For more details about the new document scanning process, please click here.

Step 5: Attend Your Appointment

  • You must check in at the Visa Application Centre’s welcome desk in person at the time and date stated in your confirmation email. If you are late, you may have to rebook your appointment. This will significantly delay the application process.
  • You will then be redirected to an agent who will review your documents.
  • Next we will take your photo and fingerprints, known as biometrics. Once this has been done your visa fee is no longer refundable.

Step 6: Visa Processing and Passport Return

  • You application will be considered by UKVI, part of the UK government. TLScontact does not make any decisions relating to your visa applications.
  • UKVI may ask for more information, another document, or for you to attend an interview. If this happens, you will be contacted by email.
  • Once your passport has been returned to us, we will contact you by email and update your personal account page on this website. This email will tell you how you can collect your passport from us.
  • Following your application, TLScontact will remove your personal information from its records.

Do you want to receive notifications by SMS? Check if this AVS is available in the Visa Application Centre you are applying.

To collect your passport at the Visa Application Centre, please ensure to come with the following documents:
    1. Original TLScontact checklist (Form provided to you after the documents reviewing);
