This service allows you to keep your passport the maximum possible time during the visa decision process.

The basic points of this service are:

  1. You still need to bring your passport to your appointment, but it will be given back to you before you leave the Visa Application Centre;
  2. Once the decision of your visa application has been made by the UK Visas and Immigration, you will be notified by email, and then you need to provide your passport to the Visa Application Centre (by post or in person). If you don’t provide your passport within the determined timeframe, your visa application will be refused;
  3. Once received, we aim to complete the application and return your passport as soon as possible.

Applicants can choose to have their passport returned to them by express courier at the end of the application process.

TLScontact will process the passport for delivery on the day we receive it back from the decision making centre. Applicants should expect to receive their passport in most cases within 1-3 business days depending on the area selected. Choosing this service allow you to not come back, avoid waste of time and unnecessary cost to come to Centre.

Use of the Express Courier Return service is dependent upon availability of courier delivery to the address provided by the applicant.

If you wish to use this service, and are eligible to do so, you should log into your personal account on the TLScontact Website and select the proper courier option (“Express Courier Return”). If you have not already registered, be sure to select this service once you have created your account. Priority Visa Service (non settlement)

You can pay for a Priority Visa service for your visit, work or study application (‘non settlement’). This will put your application at the front of the queue at every stage of the decision-making process. The cost of this service is in addition to your visa application fee and is non-refundable if the visa application is refused, or in exceptional cases, if it takes longer to process. Using the Priority Visa service does not guarantee that your application will be successful. All visa applicants must meet the requirements of the UK Immigration Rules.

How long does a Priority Visa application take?
UKVI aims to make a decision on your Priority Visa application, and contact you to let you know that your passport is ready to be collected within 5 working days from when you submit your biometric information.

However, every application is unique, and if your application is not straightforward, it may not be possible to meet this timescale. If this is the case, your application will still be put at the front of the queue at every stage of the decision-making process, and UKVI will aim to process your application within global customer service standards. Your application may not be straightforward if you have:

• been refused a visa for the UK, and/or;
• been refused leave to enter the UK, and/or;
• been deported, removed, or otherwise required to leave the UK, and/or;
• overstayed a period of leave in the UK, and/or;
• had leave to remain in the UK curtailed by the Home Office, and/or;
• been refused leave to remain in the UK by the Home Office, and/or;
• been refused a visa for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States of America, or the Schengen countries, and/or;
• you have been interviewed, detained, or prosecuted by the police for any offence in the UK or elsewhere, and/or;
• you have an unspent criminal conviction in any country, and/or;
• you have committed a criminal offence in any country.

If you fall into one of these categories, you may not want to use the Priority Visa service, as UKVI may be unable to process your application within the 5-day timescale.

This service is available to all customers except those who applies for a visa to enter a Commonwealth country, a British Overseas Territory or a Crown Dependency (the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man).

If you made a mistake and would like to get a refund of Added Value Service payment, please read the following instructions:

  • Priority Visa Service/Settlement Priority Visa Service: To be eligible for a refund, the applicant must cancel the order prior to biometric enrolment.
  • Express Courier Return: To be eligible for a refund the applicant must cancel the order prior to biometric enrolment.
  • Keep My Passport When Applying: To be eligible for a refund the applicant must cancel the order prior to biometric enrolment.
  • Duplicate-Payments: Applicants have 3 months and 7 days after their appointment day to notify Visa Application Centre of duplicate payments and be eligible for a refund. To be considered as a duplicate payment both transactions must be linked to the same GWF reference number and be for the same service.
